Able to offer pre purchase, insurance, structural and valuation surveys at highly competitive prices Wessex Marine Surveyors have many years experience and have surveyed thousands of boats across the UK and mainland Europe. We also have an in house marine engineers able to carry out independent marine engine tests, very important when buying a motorboat where it is not uncommon for the engine(s) to represent a large part of the vessels overall value. We are qualified and insured to survey yachts, motorboats and general small craft up to 24m in length.

The marine survey itself is often only the start of what we do for our clients, where a need for repairs and / or work is identified we can advise on how to approach this and in many cases independently recommend suitable companies to take on the work. For pre purchase surveys we often assist our clients in negotiating / renegotiating a vessels sale price with the broker or private seller based on our survey findings. Wessex Marine Surveyors are also able to assist and advise on the sometimes complex paper trail involved in buying a boat. In other words where necessary we hold your hand through the entire purchase process from start to finish. This is all part of the service we offer and comes at no extra cost beyond the initial survey fee itself. Once you have received your yacht survey or motorboat marine survey report from us we encourage a telephone conversation to discuss the survey report findings.
